Good Tax Software that could be better

Overall, Turbo tax is good. It makes doing taxes fairly painless. It allows you to enter every tax form under the sun. It's fairly easy to use.
It doesn't do charitable contribution carryover. If you're using Turbo Tax every year, the information is there in previous year's tax returns. Why doesn't Turbo Tax pull it in and calculate it for you???
Some items don't provide a visible summary of the amounts, until you click "Update", e.g. Estimated Taxes and Other Income Taxes. Then it forces you to go through the entire sequence of questions before it will show you the itemized amounts.
What's great about it: Has all the forms and tax rules bulit-in; good interface
What's not so great: Missing some key features; no visible summaries for some items

Excellent Product

Have been using TurboTax for 10 years now and am very satisfied with the product.
What's great about it: Good interview process that covered extra deductions.
What's not so great: Had difficulty figuring out how to get rid of unneeded forms.

Turbo Tax makes it easy

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it always makes the process easy. Anyone without complex taxes shoud be using Turbo Tax.

Pretty Easy for Common Situations

What's great about it: Easy to enter information for most situations. Keeps info from last year. Handles rental property well.
What's not so great: Interview can be confusing on complicated topics. Schedule K1 interview is difficult and confusing.

Helpful hand

I have traditionally completed my return with pencil and paper, however when I started my own business things got just a little more complicated. Using TurboTax for Small Business was just the help I needed. A great investment and well worth the annual expense (of which I write off, of course!) Using TurboTax takes all the research, guesswork, and insecurity of what I'm doing OFF my mind! Love how you can learn along the way as well with their "Learn More" links.
What's great about it: Just the friend I needed!

Selling of stock

The way turbo tax requests the information on the sale of RSA or other stock is confusing. It would be better to have the information requested align with the forms provided by the bank.
