I recommend that you have a system to enter 1099s and then indicate if they are in the business portion of the return. There is confusion on this, you can tell this by going and see how many people ask the same question through google.
What's great about it: Easy to use, pulls in most data
What's not so great: Very confusing on 1099 business versus personal

As my taxes get more and more complicated, I'm more and more grateful for TurboTax. I've gone from straight w-2's, to adding in 1099's and W-4's and tracking expenses, and TurboTax really acts not only as a guide, but in some ways a teacher for me. Now I use e-mail labels to organize receipts by year for large purchases to be written off. I track rent and square footage for home office write-offs, and TurboTax makes it easier for me to understand how this functions. My only complaint from this year, since I didn't get a return, the payment got a little weird (lot of clicking back and forth with the internet browser), but only because I took time to create an account online with them. Always a great product to have to make the joyous activity of filing taxes a little easier to get through.
What's great about it: Easy, Confident, Enabling

I have been using Turbo Tax for years starting with the basic program and now using the Professional program (Home & Business). I am self-employed with a military reserve career and Turbo Tax has made what some would call a complex return simple and easy. The best part is that once you have your information set you load from last years return and seamlessly continue with completing your taxes.
What's great about it: Once you get used to the Turbo Tax style you fly through returns
What's not so great: Cost conscience buyers note the price creep
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

User Friendly Software

A very good software that can be used by a majority of people. Simple, flexible and intuitive with supporting explanation and documents.
What's great about it: Simple to use and logically presented
What's not so great: Some sections can be preemted from or advised as not applicable

Single professional male in mid thirties. Taxes are not too complex but do involve some confusing data entries. Turbotax does a good job of taking in the info it needs and not letting the user make poor decisions. I did run into issues with a IRA rollover on a Turbotax tax return from a few years ago but I have concluded that was my error.
What's great about it: It takes me from start to finish in short time and doesn't indicate any problems with my return
What's not so great: some questions and direction was confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax made filing my individual and home-business taxes worry free. I had previously hired a tax preparer since starting my own business, but decided to try it myself to save money. It was so worth it.
The only part I thought could be improved was having to re-enter data that I felt should have been automatically entered from previous forms I filled out. Can't remember off hand which forms didn't automatically transfer, but it was from Federal to state.
Otherwise, filing was smooth as silk.
