I had difficulty changing info on the actual form. There was not a box above the form as was the case with other errors.

Worked well for our purposes

Turbo Tax has been working well for our small farm and rental business and personal taxes for 5 years. It helps me feel confident I am reporting properly and getting every deduction we deserve.
It's better every year!
My criticism is that it's cumbersome when I get to the point of needing to review and edit entries. There are too many screens in which I have to recheck the same boxes I did the first time in order to get to the box where I re-enter a specific corrected number --- business miles, say. Or a farm expense amount. VERY tedious.
What's great about it: Complete
What's not so great: Too many screens for "let me work on what I want"

I have been very happy with turbo tax for a number of years. My only problem has been I purchase one issue and find I have to update to another edition.
What's great about it: Very good product, easy to use with helpful prompts
What's not so great: Should do better at informing customers what version of Turbo Tax fits their situation.

Re-evaluating Turbo Tax

In an earlier evaluation, I was critical of Turbo Tax not having phone capacity to answer questions immediately regarding technical issues. Their website community is not really comprehensive. Why I have chosen to write additional commentary is that I have just saved money using their state return service. They pointed out a deduction on retirement income that was not accounted for on my state's website. Despite the shortcomings this year in using TurboTax, I have to say that everything did work out to my benefit. Bravo! Turbo
What's great about it: Finds deductions not commonly known
What's not so great: No credible phone assistance for technical issues

Easy as pie

I am able to get my taxes completed quick and easy with Turbo Tax. I have used Turbo Tax for at least 10 year and I will not use any other tax prep software.

My tax situation this year was most challenging. This was the first time I dealt with the sale of a business, file for an estate. There were several things I missed and errors I made on forms. Your staff helped me through all of it, with great patience I might add. I have used Turbo-Tax the last 10 years with no problems. I believe I used up several years of help with this years filing.
What's great about it: The service I received from your support staff.
What's not so great: Difficulties finding and entering the correct figures
