Gettin' Better every Year

Well thoughtout screens and flows from sections
What's great about it: Nice flow from section to section
What's not so great: Holdover business schedules still active eventhough NOT relative in current year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo tax is fast and easy even with complicated taxes. Very easy to understand and have great support.
Love the peace of mind by having a professional legal person stand by me if ever an audit occurs.

I HAVE BEEN USING "PROSERIES" FOR 25+ YEARS FOR BOTH TAX PREPARATION & 1099'S. THIS TAX SEASON I USED TURBO TAX HOME & OFFICE. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE EASY-TO-FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS,ABILITY TO BREEZE THRU FORMS & THE PRINTED CLIENT COPY PROVED TO BE A VERY PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY TAX PROFESSIONAL & IN MY OPINION THIS TURBO TAX PRODUCT BEATS "PROSERIES" HANDS-DOWN ON PRICE, USER FRIENDLY & CLIENT PRESENTATION.
What's great about it: EASE OF PREPARING FORMS, PROPER FORMATING

Excellent software, saved a bunch of money

I have used TT now for 15+ years. Consistent and Easy to navigate interface. This is really useful if you have itemized deductions as it shows all possible deductions helping you plan your fair share of taxes while have some discretionary income to enjoy life.
What's great about it: Nice work through
What's not so great: A bit slow compared to prior years

only reason we purchased is because we wanted to e-file state for free, well now i have to file fed AND then go online to file state with them!

Always The Best Way To File

I have been using TurboTax for 9 years now and it still amazes me that TurboTax can produce a better return than some tax accountants. I always recommend this product and will continue to use it. I know this sounds spammy but I really like it.
What's great about it: Easy, Frustration Free and bookmarking areas to return to is great
What's not so great: None Yet

Very thorough. Handled every type of form I needed

I've used TurboTax for 15 years or more. The program itself does a very good job of walking a person through all of the information you need to complete your returns. It has a good variety of output options (printer, PDF, etc).
I had a requirement to do an amended return to my 2010 taxes. I was able to reload TurboTax 2010, open my saved 2010 file and complete the amended return. That's impressive!
The most frustrating aspect of the program is the updates. They are frequent, and usually work. This year, I completed my returns and clicked "efile". It said I had to install the most current update before it would transmit the returns. But then the update wouldn't load! The "help" screen that shows a smiling person with a headset didn't get me help. I spent about 4 hours trying different processes before I finally got the update to load and allowed me to actually file.
If it weren't for that, I'd have given the program 4 stars.
What's great about it: Good to very good instructions. Good worksheet forms.
What's not so great: The program required updates, but the updates wouldn't load!
