Great, but not as great as last year

If you like to download your information from outside sources then this is perfect. Turbo Tax is sort of "forcing and encouraging you to do this". Previous years I was able to take last year's dividend and stock accounts information and edit in the recent information. Since I had to reenter it for some reason it forced me to download the information from my stock accounts.
I have used Turbo tax for many years and it is very easy to use.
What's great about it: Easy to use, complete, and transfer from previous years
What's not so great: removed the ability to edit last year's dividend and stock accounts
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Software done well

Another year of tax returns completed and filed! Ten years using TT and this was the smoothest yet. Always enjoy the year-to-year comparisons and explanations. The auto-upload of W-2s made this year the easiest yet.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Fee to file California state return electronically

I used to like the voice explanations. I know its been a few years since that was available but I still liked it.
What's great about it: I liked most of it
What's not so great: no voice explanations

Have used various versions of TurboTax over several years, including personal, sole proprietorship/LLC and S-Corp returns. While the tax code itself is confusing, TurboTax provides step-by-step instructions, online help, optional links to IRS pages, and great pre-filing review tools, with an audit meter to suggest your chances of being audited.
What's great about it: Detailed help with step-by-step instructions
What's not so great: Tax code is still complicated and sometimes confusing

Really is an excellent program, especially for the Federal portion. I know I save a lot of money using this program vs. having taxes done by someone else. One has to gather all the info to give to someone else anyway, so why not just enter it in TurboTax. The State program is better than it used to be, but still asks questions with little or no help how to answer them. I'm sure it varies state to state. All-in-all, a great program. Been using it for nearly 10 years and it gets better and better. Thanks.

What's not so great: State return (PA) not always clear about questions asked
