Taxes Done!

Great feeling to know my taxes are done. It was easy to answer the questions and have the forms filled out for me. Best yet is that I'm getting a refund! Thanks Turbo Tax

2015 TERRIBLE EDITION!

THIS IS THE WORST EDITION OF TURBO TAX IN THE LAST 12 YEARS I'VE USED THE PROGRAM.
- LOCKED MY COMPUTER UP CONSTANTLY.
- WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD UPDATES.
- WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD MY STATE PROGRAM.
- DIDN'T GIVE ADVISE FOR ESTIMATED 2016 PAYMENTS.

Each year as i finish up my taxes I say that was too aggravating - next year I'll skip TurboTax and just do it manually! Apparently a 365 day wait dilutes that aggravation - one day I'll follow through! Each year Turbotax reports errors that I have to fix manually on the forms. This year it erroneously presumed that I had a form that I have in previous years. Going through and finding all the references and deleting those forms was tedious and disconcerting - was I deleting something I needed?
Printing is frustrating. I print double-sided - saving paper and reducing weight. Turbotax starts my state return on the back of my Federal return and prints filing instructions on one side of page 1 of my return! I have to go back and print again, tweaking to avoid this!
Overall. for as automated as it feels, there is just too much manual correction needed and this manual correction always leaves me feeling I may be messing something else up.

What's great about it: I like having all options presented to me
What's not so great: Too much needs to be manually undone or completed. Too much pushing and promotion.

Turbo Tax is very useful and very helpful when filing yearly taxes. It is very detailed and explain all the benefits of tax deductions.
What's great about it: Very helpful in exlaining what are allowed and what are not.
What's not so great: Cannot state at this time

After a four year side-trip with the professionals, I'm glad to be back in control of my tax returns with TurboTax, and not paying their high fees for no real gain. Was doing all the work myself, as they admitted, and, they made major errors in the past two years. I am better off without them.
What's great about it: Able to jump from guided to forms and back at will.
What's not so great: Hey, its TAXES!
