Very good except...

Why will the 147 MB update not "take" so that I don't have to download it multiple times? That seems like an easy fix for you to make that would save users a lot of time and aggravation. Whether I need to add a deduction or simply save my return to file it later, it takes 5-10 minutes to Start > Download the same update > Install and Restart > Open Return. Why?
What's great about it: Consistent format year after year
What's not so great: Downloading and updating the SAME 147 MB file multiple times

Terrible

I found it very difficult this year to get my return Federal and State return completed, filed and paid for using your software. i will be evaluating next year whether or not to use your programs again. Doing taxes is frustrating enough and when you have to deal with fixes and reboots and trying to reset passwords to pay for the filing its very frustrating and annoying. You charge a premium for the software and then a premium for using your state tax software and you want to charge and additional $ amount to pay to file the state tax return. I might as well use a CPA to file . And to boot I am still trying to figure out how to update my password to Intuit to pay for the state filing.
What's great about it: easy but complicated at the same time
What's not so great: filing the returns and paying for the state return

Very disappointed with the way updates come in after I have already done my taxes. The updates slowed down the process of going through with my taxes. Slow to calculate and even froze my Mac
What's great about it: worked thru every step
What's not so great: updates after filing complicated the returns

Do it yourself and save

I have used TurboTax for years now. Each year it seems to get a little easier and the software has evolved into a very nice intuitive package. Maybe that's why they all themselves "Intuit".
What's great about it: Walks you through all aspects of your taxes
What's not so great: Takes about 6 hrs of work

Still the best

I've been using TurboTax for years. I feel confident that all of my tax issues are being addressed and that I am using a superior product. I sometimes wonder whether I'm being made aware of some of the loopholes that may be out there, and whether I could actually reduce my annual tax contributions.
What's great about it: Guided format and questions/interview to help complete the form
What's not so great: Difficult to answer self-employment questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
