It would be helpful if, when in the Easy Step mode, I could click on forms and get right to that form...and visa versa. I use both modes to enter data.
Also, for doing 'dummy returns' I would like the 'override button' back.
thanks
What's great about it: excellent!
What's not so great: see below

TY 2016 Review

The six digit IP PIN entry was concealed, had to use web to find it within TurboTax and then enter the numbers. Caused a rejection by the IRS. TurboTax should have prompted it.
What's great about it: consistent interface
What's not so great: PIN error
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I moved

TT Review 2015
on March 26, 2016
Posted by: Fishing123
For the most part, using TT was easy. However, I found the process for inputting health care expenses on Schedule C conflicted with itemized deductions when itemized deductions were less than the standard deduction. Medicare premiums were included in both places. Took some time to correct. Also, I purchased a disk vs on line purchase. It was difficult to locate my return on my MAC each time I returned to my files.
What's great about it: Easy step by Step process
What's not so great: Some issues with business deductions

A little tweaking of the system.

In the case of married filing separately to the state I need to run simultaneous windows to assure each form has the same complimentary information. That is: filer vs spouse then on my wife's she is the filer and I am the spouse but the result needs to be exactly the same. Could you devise a split window for doing this?
What's great about it: After the first year it is like having a friend in the room
What's not so great: Some prompts for more info are not so clearly explained

Both tax returns are on the same computer, TurboTax 2015 and 2014
I had to save almost every page because it keep locking up and I would have to shut down and restart TurboTax
Never had these problems in all the previous years of using TurboTax
What's not so great: would not import 2014 tax, keep locking up

Issy's Return
on March 26, 2016

Part of this was very easy and very straightforward. I had an interesting journey in figuring out how to handle both farm rental income and a building rental income for my Mom. Her accountant was inaccessible so I both followed your directions and looked to see how 2014 was handled. The software insisted that the farm rental because of the structure should go on another rental when in fact, I had other things to include in that form, which didn't exist in the regular rental but did show up in the farm income and expenses, specifically the 1099-PATR, utilities, etc. Once I located where to put the 1099-PATR, I was able to include everything I needed and hence deleted the farm rental and went with the more inclusive farm income form for income and expenses.
What's great about it: Eventually found where to put everything
What's not so great: Questions in some cases routed me to the wrong section. I persisted and eventually was able to resolve.
