OK, and better than H@R Block because I now have a better understanding of our miserably complex tax code.
What's great about it: Fairly good explanation of a monster subject.
What's not so great: E-file for state returns is way too expensive.

2014 Filing

TT takes you right down the road. Nothing hard to fill out. Liked the ability to run around to get what you missed or needed on the first pass. Liked the way TT shows what last year's TT did. Good reference to check each year so as not to forget anything. I learn more every year. Yes I'm sold on TT. I help several others using this same tool. Thanks. Money well spent.
Been with TT for over 15years, I'm 81.
What's great about it: TT did another outstanding job of filing my income tax forms. I had a truck sale and solar installation
What's not so great: Had a llitle problem with the Form E on final check, 2013 ?

Seemed to get locked up a few times working through business and state areas. Had to stop program and restart where I left off. Overall it did what I needed it to do without too much frustration.
What's great about it: Helped the Process
What's not so great: A few more Bugs than I've known in the past

2015 Turbo MEP Review
on March 25, 2016
Posted by: DHirsch4mep
Upon final review and error checking, I had a difficult time getting Turbo Tax to accept multiple 1099-Misc entries. Turbo Tax kept telling me I need to report these entries on separate Schedule E forms. I would delete and re-enter the information and finally it was accepted.......why? I am not sure.
What's great about it: Super process, very easy to follow and file.
What's not so great: Schedule E issues....

excess 401K contributions
on March 25, 2016

You need to report excess contribution in the current year as income on line 7. You have no way of doing that. I created an extraa w-2 to add the amount in the proper place.
What's great about it: most of the program is great
What's not so great: can't handle excess contribution to 401K

In this version, I find it harder to switch back/forth between Turbo forms and the tax forms. This could be a learning curve I didn't see.
What's great about it: Explains lines items well.
What's not so great: Some places can be challenging, requires research.
