When something is new or different please make more detailed explanations. For example: If I'm a sole proprietor and have Marketplace health insurance I can no longer line 29 deduct my health insurance but I spent a lot of time double checking that because I wasn't 100% sure.

have used Turbo Tax for several years now and it has seemed to be on top of the game regarding all needs. almost to detailed now which is confusing to everyday people but has got the job done for years
What's great about it: complete seems to work at staying accurate
What's not so great: hard at times to find right spot or get answer. almost to detailed

I have been an enthusiastic user of TurboTax for about 20 years and love the Federal IRS part of the software. I particularly like the ability to import data directly from W2 processors and financial companies - the latter especially for managed funds where numerous securities are sold in one year, and it would be very time-consuming for a customer to enter a 1099-B for each sale.
However, in my experience, the local income tax section (very important in Ohio) often needs manual intervention for non-standard situations.

What's not so great: Weaker for local (municipal) income taxes

Easy to use

This is an easy program for me but I used to do taxes professionally so probably know more than most folks know. But I found it flowed easily and is the best DIY tax program I could find after no longer requiring one that cost thousands of dollars when I had my practice!
What's great about it: Easy to follow; easy to file.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
