Simple and Seemless

Great tool for tax preparation. I have been using for over 25 years and never had a mishap... Praise God!
What's great about it: Extremely easy and transparent
What's not so great: n/a
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Beware of the Final Steps

If it weren't for the final step, I'd rate this as 5 stars. However, it turns out that someone had fraudulently filed a return using my SSN, so when I hit the "file" button it told me that I'd already filed. Keep in mind, that I'd given Turbo Tax my Credit Card Number for both tax payment and for my state returns, and I could not figure out if those charges were made. It also gave me no guidance about what to do next; just a nice message that "your return has been accepted." #Only the fraudulent return had been accepted, not the one I was trying to file.# Just very confusing and disturbing; I realize that I fit only a tiny minority of filers, but.... I expect more help in situations like this, not less.
What's great about it: This took me through the entries one by one, mostly easy to follow and understand
What's not so great: Not much help when I ran into a problem

Turbo Tax makes tax time bearable

I love turbo tax! I use it every year because it makes doing my taxes so much easier and I can conveniently pick up where I left off.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: Occasional glitches

Dreadful task made palatable

Thank you for making tolerable the most dreadful, time-consuming, frustrating, maddening task of the modern era. We hired a tax accountant to prepare our taxes once a few years ago and he made two big mistakes on them that would've cost us dearly if I hadn't caught them. So I don't trust anyone to do them right. Thanks to TurboTax, I don't have to. I will never like the task but you certainly make it better!

Very easy to use, but...

In the Gambling Winnings (Form W-2G) section, there should be a button or something that would repeat the info automatically from the numerous W-2G's instead of us having to re-type the same info over and over (and then just edit the different numbers in the boxes).

SW Locked up several times

I've used this SW for years and like it, but had bad experience this year with SW locking up and not continuing causing me to enter data multiple times.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: SW locked up at least 3 times while preparing return and lost information I had already entered.
