Very easy to use and helps do complicated self employed consulting work. Easy to follow and gets you to all the places you need. However, if you want to go back and add some more, certain places are very hard to find and the help tells you how to do the process but not find the forms. If you type the form, it presents it, but not in the same context of walking you through the process.
What's great about it: Works quickly and walks you through each step
What's not so great: Says will show later, don't enter here, and never does for milage deductions on business

Calculating Pain

I had to quit TT about 9 or 10 times to clear the "calculating loop" on my Mac. It appears to be a known problem so it should be fixed within 24 hours... it wasn't.
What's great about it: good overall. have used for about 8 years will use again
What's not so great: Calculating loop is a real pain on my Mac

Always good

I have been using TurboTax for the past 12 years and have never had a problem with the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy, lets me pick my items to work on
What's not so great: Lots of items to fix at the end that we never asked
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I would highly recommend TurboTax, mainly because I've been impressed with the customer service. My husband & I are self-employed and we have an investment with a limited partnership, which I'm always confused in how to do the taxes for that. When the initial TurboTax rep doesn't know the answer to the question, they send you to a tax expert, who has always been able to help me and you can tell they know what they're doing. I also like that they don't keep you on hold forever; they call you back when you're up in the queue.
What's great about it: Relatively easy; Helpful customer service

TurboTax does an excellent job of making sure you do not forget anything. One small detail is that if you go back to review a section be sure you re-select to go over every part of that section. Sometimes on the second pass the program will continue on to the summary rather than re-ask every question, which is usually good - it saves time.

Turbo Tax 2015

Better than going to a tax preparation "store" who may be using similar software. Would rather save some money and do it myself. Easy step by step guidance.
What's great about it: Easy to use walks you through step by step. As long as you have all of your documents it is not a painful process.
What's not so great: E file Fees
