Glitchy this year but workable

Clear instructions and entries, as usual. Unfortunately, the program hung up in a "calculating" mode, even though a non-complex return. Had to get internet advice to get out of the loop and to restart 4-5 times. Once past that, was smooth through to E-file.
What's great about it: Clear, straightforward entries

Excellent with one glitch

For the most part, simple language throughout made navigation relatively easy. I received a series of "we cannot transmit your return due to an SSL error" at the bitter end. I was instructed to try again or send them in by mail ): Finally, I quit my browser and rebooted the modem and the airport. That somehow did the trick and the files were transmitted.
What's great about it: Straightforward language for the most part
What's not so great: SEP deduction information was not clear during the "computer" time, though it was clear on the printed form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall this edition is getting better to use and flows smoothly. Print feature still has bugs where some pages get multiple copies and the only difference I can tell is a font switch. Annoying when you try to print 2-sided on a 1-side printer. Some tables don't allow you to recover from a fat-finger mistake when you accidentally hit the 'remove' button and it erases everything in the table. Not a happy camper when you can use 90% of the carry over data and you lose it.
What's great about it: Efficient and concise questions by topic. Easy to comprehend.
What's not so great: Print feature still has bugs with multiple copies of some pages. Would like to see an opps button for fat fingers.

Disappointed this year. The deduction protocol didn't work. wouldn't load. looped me for hours. work around sorta worked but data not uploadable to the return or if so couldn't figure it out. Not user friendly any more. Very disappointing.
What's great about it: software affordable
What's not so great: worst year yet navigating the forms. no way to reference forms in return or understand 1/2 of the questions asked.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Support Helps

I had a challenge with correcting a wrong form. Yes it was due to an error on my part made several years ago. The support I received from Jill made my day! She was able to walk this old dinosaur step by step through many, screens and forms showing me just what I needed. I can't say thank you enough! Oh yeah, through her help I actually received a bigger refund because of the corrections. That's a good thing.
What's great about it: The help was outstanding
What's not so great: none

TURBO TAX ROCKS!

I LOVED THE EASED OF BEING ABLE TO COMPLETE AND SEND MY TAXES FROM HOME AT A VERY LOW COST.

I have used turbotax for about 10 years now. It just keeps getting better.
What's great about it: Easy to use, a lot of good suggestions, constant updates
