Buggy This Year

The program was very buggy this year. Stalled a lot on Mac newest OS. beach balls a lot. had to force quit several times. usually stalled for a long time on "calculating" on mac, and the newest OS

A Good Job by TurboTax

I have been using TurboTax for several years. I have been very happy with the program.
What's great about it: very thorough. I like the way TurboTax imports the info from the previous year.
What's not so great: It takes several hours to complete

Mostly pretty smooth ...

My overall experience was good. I'm terrible with money and understanding tax laws and reasoning, but TT makes things much more tolerable doing taxes. However, there were times when questions presented could have been clearer, in so far as what was being requested, particularly when doing my state taxes (carry over items). I had called in a couple of times and was highly impressed with the individuals who helped me out (knowledgeable and friendly - Bennet - tax question and Rene - tax advice).
What's great about it: Pretty through and step by step helps a lot.
What's not so great: Sometimes system was slow when trying to get answers when typing in a question

TURBOTAX 2015

Con: Not as efficient as previous years, TurboTax did not correlate prior years taxes to this year and so I am not sure some things carried over or were caught from the prior years taxes.
Pro: Corrects errors before the IRS accepts. Although, I thought this years TurboTax was not as user friendly.
What's great about it: Never is accepted until errors are correct, easily tells you what is needed.
What's not so great: Errors this year and never experienced errors with TURBO

Turbo Tax is my savior!

I highly recommend Turbo Tax to my family and friends. It is so easy and simple to use. Go ahead, and make your day! A day of maximum refund!
What's great about it: So easy to use. Even my high school kids can understand the system.
What's not so great: None so far!

Home and Business

My Home business is a Private Music Studio. I also have an office where I do computer work for this business.
It is not easy to keep information separate for these 2 different entries.
There should be a statement included on the Utilities page that a Telephone line is no longer allowed for a home business or home office. Only the 2nd line.
What's great about it: I have never been audited due to the thoroughness of the interviews
What's not so great: It is difficult to locate some important places to enter expenses

For some reason, this year I would be entering data and sometimes when the calculation box would come up it would just keep turning. It seemed like it would get in a loop. The only way I could get passed this condition was to save the file, shut the computer down and bring the file back up. It would continue for a while and then it would occur again. One time the only way I could fix it was the just start another return and load all the data in again. I've never seen this before in all my years using turbo.
