Great way to do your taxes. Complicated stuff usually easy to do. Unfortunately the program does not work well on the mac.
What's great about it: makes taxes easy to do, especially complex matters
What's not so great: hanged up at least 10 times on mac

Comprehensive with some glitches

Turbotax itself continues to be extremely easy to use, especially with expanded abilities to import date from many financial organizations. It was, however, frustrating to try to purchase extra state forms and pay for electronic filing. The interface repeatedly failed to connect or refused my log-in. Had to call to purchase Audit Defense and create whole new forms to purchase other states and electronic filing. I believe electronic filing should be included with any purchase of an additional state (and the one included in the initial purchase.)
What's great about it: Easy guides and extensive possible scenarios
What's not so great: Poor interface for purchasing state forms and filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I love TurboTax

I love TurboTax. Have been using it for several years, and am self-employed, so it saves me lots of work and always helps me understand what I am doing. I am always impressed with how up to date TT is, and how they answer my questions before I even think to ask! This year the IRS sent a letter with an error in it (referring to 2014 instead of 2015), and then sent another letter about the error. TT had a note about the error in the appropriate place. How cool is that?
What's great about it: Always up to date and clear
What's not so great: Not always easy to find my way back to a page

I have used TurboTax for years. I wouldn't use any other software. It's easy and fast to use.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, plus I feel confident that everything was done correctly.
What's not so great: No cons.

Overall, a little less intuitive this year.

Overall, the questions and guidance was a little less intuitive this year. Had I not been a long time turbo tax user, I would have gotten confused much easier. I would suggest more notes up front when you get into a step (like, we will get to xyz in a few steps, or in another section.) This was especially noticeable in a section I've never used before which was sale of rental asset.
Whew, It took me over 6 hours of research to figure out what to do and by the looks of it, on the internet, this has been a issue for a few years now at least.
I'm still not totally sure (mostly sure though) that I did that section correctly. Not much advice on where to include expenses, costs for improvements, cost basis and more.
It might be confusing section in the tax code too, but that's why I use Turbo Tax typically.
Overall, still, I am happy with the outcome.
A little steep on the cost to e-file the state return. Is that driven by California or internally?
What's great about it: Similarity to past years, feel, look.
What's not so great: Sale of Rental Property section is sketchy
Pros: I bought or sold investments
