2015 tax

State was more difficult as had to look up information. would be easier if all information was transferred.

2016 Tax Experiece

I have used Turbo Tax for at least 6 years and have never experienced the problems I experienced this year. First off the MO income section should be re-vamped to allow one to easily enter into a worksheet the income to each taxpayer. Program crashed when I was about done and then the numbers were not the same because I had not saved the file immediately prior to the crash. Had to go through all the forms again and even then the final numbers were not identical. Then when I was trying to eFile for what I consider a high fee -- I entered my credit card info and just kept getting the "please wait" symbol. The payment never did move off that so I finally closed program hoping it will go through early in the morning when the internet is not so busy. Purchasing 2 state programs went through just fine a few hours earlier with same credit card.
What's great about it: Interview questions; forms
What's not so great: Technical support for software needed; efile not working well; file is not autosaved; lost file during computer crash
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used Turbo Tax for my friends over 16 years & it has continued to improve each & every year & always preformed very well.
What's great about it: the questions & answers are in front of you
What's not so great: very little you cannot find

A great Tax software

Great tax software, easy to use and step by step guide available. Any question can be posted to get quick result from Tax Community or tax expert.
What's great about it: Easy and step by step guide
What's not so great: Last year return was not updated propoerly, to make it correct i need to fill up manually

entering K-1

The "Home & Business" program was easy for the basic tax payer to enter the necessary information. The reason that I purchased and used the program was for entering the K-1 Form sent from the gas and oil MLP. This part of the program is extremely confusing and the program Help assistance for this part (K-1) of the entering is useless at best. I will have to shop around for a better program for next year.
What's great about it: Better than nothing
What's not so great: totally confusing

Good Program

Seems logical to enter each type (business, rental, etc.) of data together. By that I mean: Schedule C Income and Schedule C expenses entered at same time, Schedule E Income & Expenses entered at same time.
What's great about it: Walks you through the return, pulls last years info forward...helpful
What's not so great: Order of input can be confusing
