turbotax worked great

Turbotax worked even better than last year. No glitches of any kind. Forms can be used when some stock data needs tweaking.
What's great about it: Very, very user friendly
What's not so great: None for 2015

Doing my taxes each seems to get easier and easier. Love how Turbo Tax makes entering and submitting (Electronically) my taxes simpler each year.

Oklahoma problem

When most transactions are non-Oklahoma, we shouldn't have to go item by item.
What's great about it: overall it is great
What's not so great: Cap gain form on Oklahoma return needs to be simplified.

Really disappointed

I've used TurboTax for well over 10 years and used to recommend it and rave. Not anymore. It hung up on me multiple times while calculating and more and more instructs me to go look somewhere else for things I need to do for business rather than it being part of the software - and I'm using the professional business version. What's more, the price continues to go up for the product annually. Taxes and their calculations are a mandatory evil - I used to feel like TurboTax was a friend in this - but now it often just adds to the stress of it all.
What's great about it: Familiarity with the name and basic process

Good stuff...reliable and easy

Good stuff. We've used for 4 years, just hate that you no longer offer the Personal and Small Business software.
What's great about it: ease of entry, transfer of prior year data
What's not so great: only a few questions that were not clear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A couple of glitches

1. My state does not have income tax and does not require a state return. Turbo Tax acknowledged that I didn't have to file a state return, and then kept reminding me that I should go back and file my state return. Mild annoyance, but should be able to overcome that with programming.
2. I used Turbo Tax to prepare 1099's, but it didn't offer an option to import that information into my Schedule C. It seems like the two modules should connect.

I have used TurboTax for many years. On rare years, when I have a special situation, I have taken my taxes to an accountant. When I have done that, I pay a lot more and don't get as thorough a review of all my taxable situations and possible credits, as I do when I use TurboTax. I plan to continue using TurboTax!
What's great about it: Very detailed instructions.
What's not so great: I didn't see an option this year to deduct the cost of doing my taxes. In past years I deducted the cost of Turbotax
