Tax return

Over all I feel that turbo tax is the best tax software available. I have been using it for at least 6 years running and I would be hard pressed to switch to any other software.
What's great about it: I like that turbo tax provides windows of addtional info. to clrearify subjects
What's not so great: I did not like the difficulty level of returnin to specific places on the return within the sections
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

quick, easy

Student tax return. Simply had all the forms in a folder, entered appropriate information when asked. Whole process took less than and hour.
What's great about it: Very smooth, one step at a time, sailed through the return and filed
What's not so great: none

It is difficult to move thru the sections. For a first user it is useful the step by step program, but when you want to go faster it is difficult to skip steps making the process longer for some users that are knowledgeable with the software and that want to go at a faster pace.

Perfect for a small business

This Home & Business version is perfect for my small online retail business. I am no accountant and the helpful information available all during the filing process is a life saver.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Have to sort and interpret IRS pubs when additional info is needed.

Very easy to use

I have used TurboTax since 2009. It is very easy to use and I can find answers when I am not sure of what is being asked. Thanks for a good product. I will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Ease of inputting information and finding answers to questions.
What's not so great: None really to talk about.

Turbo Tax 2015

Worked great except for a few freezes when it was doing final calculations for eFiling. Had to quit, clear cookies and restart. Then worked OK.
UNFORTUNATELY—immediately after filing, a notice appeared telling me that TTax 2016 will not support my current operating system and I need to upgrade my OS.
This particularly sucks because my older, perfectly capable computer cannot be upgraded any further. I'd need to buy a newer computer to do that and I am certainly NOT going to do that just so I can run Turbo Tax. That would be stupid.
I came to Turbo Tax in 2007 after previously using Tax Cut when they dropped Mac support after 2006.
I guess I'll have to shop for a compatible version next year, or do it by hand.
So I guess this is goodbye to Turbo Tax. It's been nice knowing you. Thanks for dropping me.
What's great about it: Easy as Always
What's not so great: Had a few freezes.

Convinience

Overall thorough and convenient. Using Turbo Tax for a number of years. Adding a flag option was helpful. Only difficulty I had was to return easily to some places to correct info or to add something. It would be helpful if there would be a column on a side with the menu of all of the forms or topics, sort of like in the print menu. Thank You, V.
