Done at Last!

Overall the tool is an excellent time saver! Taxes are often frustrating to me since very simple investment transactions or a small amount of consulting work can result in a tremendous amount of extra complexity when completing tax returns. Turbo Tax walked me through it all without all the digging through instructions and searches to get the job done.
What's great about it: Very Efficient, good explanations, minimizes "research" time
What's not so great: Lots of updates.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Taxes done easy

I've always been impressed with Turbo Tax. I understand the Federal Income tax process and all the forms.
Turbo Tax gets it right.
Gone are the days of filling out endless forms.
What's great about it: Interview process was clear
What's not so great: Sometime I wonder if I'm entering enough data
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax 2015

Program would take a lot of time when updating and also would shut down requiring a restart. Some of the tax info such as home office expenses didn't carry over completely to the PA forms.
What's great about it: Has all I need to do my taxes
What's not so great: Glitchy when updating

Program Problems

I've used MacInTax and now TurboTax for more than 15 years. While it is easy to use and has gotten better every year, his is the first year I experienced glitches.
1. The program froze several times on my2014 iMac 5K with 24GB RAM. I had to force quit and start the application again.
2. In fields where you can double click to create an itemized entry TurboTax would frequently not complete the addition and enter the correct amount. I had to delete those itemizations and just enter an amount.

Seems like it would be good to have some standardized form that you use throughout the year to make sure you collect all the information you need . This would help in keeping needed details in one place.
What's great about it: process was made relatively simple
What's not so great: I won't know if it's over for years

Where is the city tax return?

I filled out the city of Detroit information, including the info that came from the W-2 and I am not able to find it anywhere in this software! I would like to see the nunbers (refund/due) before hitting submit/efile.
why do you make this soooooo difficult????
I have search the web, and within your program and cannot locate this tax return.

Greatest Since Peanut Butter!

I've purchased Turbo Tax, formerly Intuit, years go--the first year you published it, and have used it every year since. Couple of years back, it was user-awkward.
I continued with it, got my taxes finished and hoped you'd clean it up, years hence. And, you did. It's a block-buster software and I can't imagine anyone not using it to do their taxes. Thanks for a great and good product!!! J. P. Milller
What's great about it: So easy, questions so clearly stated, accurate portrayal of tax due,--100%
What's not so great: None....A couple of years past, you needed some guidance, but you've aced it now!
