Great Tax Application

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Love it.
What's great about it: I love the application providing the best way to get the most deductions I am qualified for
What's not so great: No cons that I consider
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Got us much better refund than we thought possible

Loved this program and with our new baby we qualified for lots of deductions and credits for a refund. We are very happy with the ease of use and interview features to get us all the credits we are due.
What's great about it: Found all of our deductions and tax credits
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby, I moved

Good, but still a few bugs

It would be nice to be able to navigate directly to specific data boxes without starting at the beginning of a section and clicking through material already covered.
The program first told me my son (19, made over $4K) did not qualify as dependant, but later gave me the option of indicating he was a full-time student. Why didn't it ask that near the beginning?
Program is inflexible with name entry. I use my first initial and middle name and always have when filing taxes, but that is not an option. IRS has me on file that way. It would be best to include the option of using full middle name.
Couldn't find where to deduct certain urban local services taxes that had been deductible in the past.

My Frustration hit a new level

I use Turbo tax and always found it great. This year I had many stock sales to put in and when I tried to efile TT told me that an sale date entry was wrong. On the printed copy all dates were ok. Anyway I tried to file and TT kept asking me to correct the date. After about 100 times I just am giving up. Each time I delete the old date the blue correction box continually fills with text that goes on forever and cannot complete deletion. I am going to now mail the return. Plus I already paid for the state and now I have to call to get that back. I have a good knowledge of TT but have absolutely no patience when something will not let you make corrections and persists to keep saying it can not be efiled. I realize the IRS will reject the return with the error but the return is 45 pages and one date is preventing it from being filed.

Over 20 ears of use

I have lost track of how many years I have been using Turbotax software but I am sure that it is now more than 20 years continuous use. A friend loaned me my first copy so many years ago. I had been doing by hand for almost 25 years before and could not believe how much faster and simpler everything came togeather. I even set up my record keeping to match up to TurboTax format. The needed program has changed over the years, but I am confidant that what is saved in my time m,ore than makes up for the cost of the program.
What's great about it: Pulls up forms from a simple question and answer format

Turbo Tax is the most user friendly tax program on the market. I actually look forward to the tax season now!
