Excellent program

I have used TurboTax for several years. When I first used it, I also sent my tax information to my CPA and the amount of taxes that I needed to pay were exactly the same as what was computed by TurboTax...and FAR less expensive.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, search topics simple
What's not so great: None

wasted time

Turbotax suggested I pw my tax return and when I needed to go back and make a change, it wouldn't open. I waited for 2 days hoping they would find a solution to the problem. The solution was to redo my entire tax preparation. My preparation took about 4-5 hours because it's so detailed with our businesses. Needless to say I did not enjoy spending another 5 hours redoing something I had already done, especially since the only reason it was rejected was because of one number in the SS#
What's great about it: great system
What's not so great: glitz

Discovered that right clicking on 1099 2b taxable amount not determined that then I could get help determining the taxable amount. Instructions do not speak of this.
Do not like the fact that I have to purchase the business program when all I need are a few forms for self employment.

What's great about it: If you know how to handle 1099's it works fine
What's not so great: Not as helpful as it could be for housing allowance

mandatory 2016 quicken update

I was really angry with your software {quicken} it did not work very well. I HAD RECONCILED MY BOOKS AT THE END OF THE YR TO KEEP FROM HAVING ALOT OF PRESSURE AT THIS TIME OF YR. STARTED TURBO TAX, HAD TO UPDATE TO 2016 QUICKEN. THAT IS WHEN IT ALL WENT TO !!!! I don't know what the problem was but I had to correct savings accts and change checking register. Somehow I went from black to 96,000 in the red. Hope you get this fixed I am looking for other products.
What's great about it: at the moment nothing
What's not so great: screwed up my books had re-enter and correct some entries
