Great Stuff

Make preparing taxes easy and fun. Turbo Tax does not have a learning curve. Just gather, input, print and done.
What's great about it: Easy and accurate and no silly graphics of people
What's not so great: More expensive every year

Better Than Nothing

I've been using TurboTax for several years, and it certainly seems like it was easier in the past. I found myself answering the same questions over and again, and seemingly was taking more deductions than seemed real. After printing out returns I noticed that some items did not seem to jive with the numbers I was sure I put in, so went back to attempt to correct, but numbers were locked, and going between forms and e-z-entry did not bring me to where I needed to be. After a few hours of attempting to make corrections using multiple methods I gave up and hit send.
What's great about it: Easier than working with paper returns
What's not so great: Not as easy as previous years, more confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TurboTax for a number of years. It is always thorough and easy to follow directions. We are happy with it.
What's great about it: easy to follow great explanations
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Love turbo tax. have been using it for years. even propagates last years tax info.
What's great about it: detailed information and easy to use
What's not so great: none that i can think of other than it helps to have a knowledge of what goes where

Consistently improves

Have been using TT for over 15 yrs. Each time the interview gets better and easier to understand, though my tax situation seems to get more complex each year.
The download of 1099 info from the source companies is a HUGE benefit - over 300 lines of entry done in 5 keystrokes!
Takes me about 4-6 hours to fill out and check the whole thing
What's great about it: Interview entry method
What's not so great: Tax code is way too complex! but that's a federal problem!

I have been using TurboTax since they issued the program on a 5 1/4 floppy disk! It was great then,,,, it is fantastic now! I find the program reminds you along the way of certain situations which may apply. This is very helpful. The tax code is complex and designed to confuse. TurboTax makes the process palpable, at least as palpable as tax preparation can be!
What's great about it: fast, clear, easy to follow
What's not so great: printing and saving
