Have used Turbo Tax for the last 5 years. I'm learning a lot from all the available information. I find myself telling more and more people how user friendly Turbo Tax is and how much I feel confident is getting the best results.
What's great about it: Like the HELP button for additional info
What's not so great: Would like easier chat time at different sections

Taxes Made Easy

I have been using TurboTax for numerous years. It always seems to get better. This year I had some difficulty going back to prior sections of my return. I also miss the auto save feature at the end of each section. (I had to manually save)
What's great about it: Step by step instructions; easy print & return storage
What's not so great: cumbersome to move back and forth to change things
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Very Good Federal but Really Bad Ohio Tax Rtn

I have been using TurboTax ever since it started and like many of its features. Often there are errors, but either those are fixed or one can figure them out. This can be disconcerting.
For the past two years, they are denying their customers "joint filling credit" by figuring it wrong - in contradiction of the examples given in instructions for the the form. TT's method does not agree with the calculations on Ohio's online filing systems! Funny, in spite of many people pointing this out on Quicken's website, TT has not bothered to fix it. Another disconcerting thing about TT. Please fix these.

What's great about it: Pulls up past return, does excellent job on federal
What's not so great: Unable to do Ohio tax properly; Never seems to stop "updates"

Intuit Updater would not complete. Many times. Had to go to support and manually get the updates. First year to have this problem.
What's not so great: I had more problems this year trying to get updates for Turbo Tax.

I am glad that there is a way to do my own taxes and spend less money doing so. i would like if there was an incentive for using Turbo tax year after year.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, step by step guides to all the information
What's not so great: Seemed to be slightly more difficult to navigate this year than previous years

Great Package

Great tool for downloading investment information and appropriately loading figures. I wish Turbo would optionally prompt me to accept standard decuction without trying to force me to enter every possible deduction. Also, if I have decided to always use mileage for business use of my automobile, I would like option to bypass entering other unessential vehicle information.
What's great about it: Package allows you to re-track entrys until you're certain all is accurate.
What's not so great: I was confused with question about %-tage of use/ownership of vehicle by me or family members.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
