Like a great family pet--FAITHFUL

Buy it--'Mikey likes it". Been using Turbo Tax since it was offered by the Parsons Company
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not as friendly to a 30 year veteran of Turbo Tax-Form-- method no longer flows smoothly

Generally real easy to file a complicated return

I liked this. This year was probably my most complicated as several none reoccurring events happened in 2015 that affected my income in unique ways. Turbo Tax handled without a glitch. I loved it!!!
What's great about it: Better than last years version - very straight forward
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy to use, except for updates

I found TurboTax to work well, fairly intuitive, easy to do a little at a time and come back and finish. It is ridiculous that program and forms updates do not load automatically - and the customer support to help solve this problem was non-existent.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Updates fail to load automatically

Turbo Tax is clean and runs well on desktop computers, the software is consistent and just works. I have been using Turbo Tax and It's Deductible for twelve years
What's great about it: Consistent guided format year to year
What's not so great: No longer have Professional Tax consultants available for questions on how the program treats items

The loading and operation of these programs is terribly slow. Always has been but Im stuck as it populates the information from previous years. If you have the option to use a different software I'd advise it. Sitting and waiting for this or that to happen with the software is really frustrating. Ive used 3 different computers to insure it was not the hardware. Its not.
What's great about it: the software seems complete and easy to follow
What's not so great: BEYOND SLOW

First Year using Home and Business

This has been a year of transition, going from two workers to two retirees with a new consulting business on the side. The product gave me enough help that I felt confident I didn't miss anything and probably kept me from accepting advice that might have produced a refund or more refund but ultimately would have stretched the rules if not broken them. I like to pay my fair share, unlike some.
The online forums can be helpful but one should take the attitude 'caveat emptor' when using them. There is a lot of garbage to sift through including answers from people who don't know anything or worse, know for sure things are wrong. I didn't see a lot of monitoring of that sort of thing except by participants who aren't always the brightest bulbs.

What's not so great: Database online ineffective
