Turbo Tax .... simply the best!

This is the best tool for filing taxes for personal and business. It goes through everything, even deductions that I would have never of thought of. Good thing I started using Turbo Tax, otherwise I would be handing money back to the IRS that was rightfully mine.
What's great about it: Goes over EVERYTHING...!
What's not so great: It's almost too detailed. But it is thorough.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's easy to click through, but some areas are hard to figure. God help you if you make what TT considers a mistake, cause it's impossible to fix without costing thousands.

It is unclear that the business portion of my taxes have been submitted to the government. Everything needs to be done together but I should be able to file my business taxes separate on March 15 and then my personal taxes on April 15. Very confusing.
What's great about it: Continual error checking
What's not so great: Assumption that business taxes are filed

I've used Turbo Tax for several years. After the first use, I liked that a lot of the info was already filled in.
What's great about it: Easy to Use.
What's not so great: Couldn't find an answer to a couple of my questions.

Less than 2 1/2 hours to do taxes, and that was from the start of downloading the software, to filing electronically and printing a hard copy. getting easier every year.
What's great about it: fast, loved the previous year upload
What's not so great: a bit difficult to get some information on the state deductions - there was no "I want to learn more" feature there

So much easier than I thought. I was able to double check information. Review and go back. Not able to do that with tax preparer. I normally would have gathered and given the same information and spent double $$

Filing At TURBO Speed!

TURBOTAX is very easy to use and offers a high level of help or support. I was however surprised to find this year a hidden fee is present when someone chooses to receive a direct deposit of their refund. It is no small fee accompanied by numerous attachments or documents.
What's great about it: Precise And Organized
What's not so great: Hidden Refund Processing Fee
