Easiest Income Tax Prep

Starts you off with info from last year's tax return; then, leads you through entering this year's forms. Before you know it, you've e-filed and you're done. Easy and you know you haven't missed anything in the process because the return is checked and rechecked to make sure everything has been answered. If you didn't answer a question, it takes you right to that question so you can finish the job. TurboTax is the best!
What's great about it: Walks you through so you don't miss anything
What's not so great: No Downside

Hard drive on old computer took a dump. Silly me, did not back up. Have used turbo tax for years and it is so much easier to do when all the info is saved.

What's not so great: wish intuit saved an electronic copy

I have used Turbo Tax Home & Business for the last 5 or 6 years, and I love it. I am a self-employed, and with Turbo Tax Home & Business version made it so simple, and user friendly; which I used it every year now. Please keep up the good work Turbo Tax (Intuit, Inc).
What's great about it: Easy to use, user friendly, convenient for self-employed

Great Program!

Excellent program for organizing your tax information. I have a small business, real property, retirement income and my wife works for a company. The program imported my details from last years return and easily put my data into the program.
What's great about it: Great way to organize, business and personal income
What's not so great: You still need to review your instructions for the state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Handling of Annualized Income Lacking

Although the annualized income forms were available, both federal and state, the program did not take me to them automatically based on my specific conditions. I knew I needed to file these, but I had to do it manually within the program.
Buyer beware, turbotax does not replace an individual's knowledge of the tax rules.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS SOFTWARE FOR 10 YEARS AND NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. I ADVISE ALL USERS TO BUT THE AUDIT OFFER TURBO TAX HAS. IT IS VERY USEFUL IF YOU GET AUDITED. THE PRIOCE IS REALLY CHEAP FOR WHAT YOU GET. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH IRS IN CASE YOU GET AUDITED
What's great about it: PRO-CUSTOMER SOFTWARE, GETS YOU THE BEST TAX DEDUCTIONS
What's not so great: NONE

TurboTax-More Reliable Than My Internet Provider!

I cannot say enough about TurboTax. It has taken a painful time of year a bit more pleasant...especially watching the amount of the refund change in the positive with every deduction! Almost like watching a game show tote board. Having positive results with the software, I have indoctrinated friends and family to use TurboTax as well. Everyone has been grateful for the tip!
What's great about it: The ease of use and explaination in layman's terms is perfect
What's not so great: Finding 1099K entry areas were challenging for me
