very good for planning

What's great about it: Critical for planning in 2015, where I was getting a pension and needed to know tax consequences
What's not so great: Turbo Tax missed a local tax for my daughter in Collegeville PA -- she had to pay with penalties.

Godsend

TurboTax is a Godsend in that it walks you through every step of the way in an organized manner. It prompts you to think of things you might not have thought of on your own.
What's great about it: Walked me through every step.

Had a problem

I was at the point where it asked if I had health insurance for the year. At that point the program locked up and I had to force kill the program and relaunch it to finish my return. It would not let me save, close, or proceed. Only force quit worked to get the program working again.
What's great about it: Overall great software
What's not so great: crashed once during working on return

Finally done!

I love TurboTax. It's almost a perfect program. The only defect I see is that I don't get an immediate response to a specific question I have, but again, the good thing is that others have asked similar questions and I can see those responses and apply them to my questions.
What's great about it: Being able to see changes.
What's not so great: Not getting some answers.

Intuit did a nice job improving all of the aspects of TurboTax. Very easy to use, giving the choice of taking you step by step through the process or letting you go right to the topic you want. Well done!

Wonderful but one problem for MAC users

I have been using TurboTax for Home and Business for about 8 years. the first two years, I also paid CPAs and the final numbers were nearly identical to my own TurboTax usage. Great! It has served me well for 8 years and I hope to use next year as well. BUT i just started an LLC and learned to my dismay, that the real business version of TurboTax needed to handle an LLC is NOT available for the Mac!!!! thus, I am in trouble for my next year's return. any help or guidance would be appreciated for next year!!!
However, if you don't have an LLC or Corp, then the Mac version works great, even for rental property or sole proprietor situations.
What's great about it: Easy, great organization and questions and explanations
What's not so great: No way to do my LLC in the MAC version
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
