Best version of TT yet.
What's great about it: installed quickly and worked smoothly
What's not so great: hard to tell whether it's made a mistake
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy as Pie..My Refund

We sold a rental property that we've had for 20 years. TT walked us thru the process for expenses and what we did to prepare for the sale. This helped us to ensure we got the maximum on our return.
What's great about it: Great process that walks you thru all the important stuff
What's not so great: Read the fine print/instructions to ensure you don't double count

What a wonderful Experience

Overall very stable and easy to use. Doesn't dig deep enough for me on some of the entries like NIIT. Would like to see a sample mathmatical calc in some cases where it makes sense, like a percentage or a table look up.
Should have an "X" on forms that are open to quickly close.
Entering 1099-B ESPP is a pain. Need to make that easier somehow. You have to generally add adjustments to cost basis sense some of the discount is already on W2. Turbotax could explain all of this better.
What's great about it: Lots of hand holding and mostly good background information on each entry
What's not so great: Can't find math calc for some entries. Can't find good background on NIIT for example

Walked It Through-Home and Business

After completing each sub-section, the "Continue" button takes you to the top of the prior section in which you were working. This requires you to scroll down to the bottom of page to review info and then select next sub-section. Why would I need to review stuff I'd already done in previous steps?
Otherwise I've used this for four years and love it. My taxes are not complex but IRS is; this gets you through it!!

Always reliable

Been using TurboTax since the mid-90s. Never had issues, always had reliable, no questions asked tax returns. Combined with my Quicken software....unbeatable combo.

I love TT

I found it difficult to determine if carryovers (foreign tax paid, charitable contributions, etc.) that had been disallowed in prior years because they exceeded the limit were used it the current year. It would be reassuring if this information was made easily available.
I have used TT for many years and will continue to do so.
I guess I'm weird, but I think using TT to do my taxes is fun. I like figuring my taxes...but don't like paying them!
What's great about it: TT worked well for me this year...no program bugs.
What's not so great: No complaints.

What's not so great: I had some trouble with downloading updates and state forms because I have Windows 10
