Fast and Easy

TurboTax is a good tax product

I've used TurboTax every year for the last 10 years with the exception of two years where our taxes were so detailed from moving and changing jobs, I just didn't feel comfortable.
I've been happy with the results and wish there were an Intuit/Quick books small enough for very simple business bookkeeping.
What's great about it: Steps you through each aspect of filing personal and business taxes
What's not so great: Wasn't able to enter all eligible deductions related to donations
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Generally good, but annoying with lots of stock

I overall like Turbo Tax, and it does a good job at walking through difficult things like ESPPs.
A big downside is that it can only import 2000 transactions from brokerages. If you use Betterment, you will probably have more transactions than that. It also doesn't let you upload a PDF of your 1099 either, so in my case, I have to print off and mail in ~250 pages to the IRS after my electronic return was filed.
I would definitely look for a different tax solution in the future if they don't increase the import limit or let you include a .pdf like other tax software does.
What's great about it: It walks you through everything and can show you all forms
What's not so great: Can't upload your 1099b and can only import 2000 transactions

Excellent step by step procedures to completing my tax return. The State return is not pleasant to complete if working on it by hand, and Turbo Tax makes it a great experience. Thanks!
