I have used Turbotax for several years. My return is complicated enough that I wouldn't attempt to complete it on my own without some type of program such as this.
Turbotax keeps up with the changes in tax codes, and it asks me questions about subjects/situations that I wouldn't think of. This may either save me money- or keep me out of trouble.
I like that it transfers information from one year to the next. I don't have to re-enter the information every year, and it reminds me of things that I might not remember or think of.

What's great about it: Great process and software
What's not so great: Getting last yr results loaded was difficult
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

2015 Turbo Tax Review

I could only file by overriding one to the boxes.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy, Like being able to file now and pay later electronically
What's not so great: Ran into a small inconsistency on a 1099-R. Turbo Tax said all the boxes did not agree.

Very good except for one thing!

I electronically filed the Federal on 2/27/16 and got a correct Federal Return Submitted date on the Electronic Postmark. I electronically filed the State form on 3/3/2016. The Electronic Postmark now incorrectly shows Federal Return Submitted: March 03, 2016, along with the correct Federal Return Acceptance Date of 2/27/2016.
I cannot find 3/3/2016 as the State Return Submitted date anywhere in the paperwork. I appears there is no place provided by TurboTax for this information.
TurboTax should provide an accurate electronic submission date and tracking for each State return filed.
What's great about it: Instructions make it easy to enter information and file
What's not so great: No place to show State filing date if filed separate from Federal; Federal date mangled!
