What's great about it: Excellent explanations
What's not so great: allowed only one filing for state income tax; so much info to be filled (but that's not the fault of Turbo Tax!)

Easy year after year

Helpful for self-employed/small business. Easy to navigate through menus. Review screens and comparisons to previous years very helpful for continuity and tracking. Whole process of doing this return was probably less than 4 or 5 hours including organizing the paperwork and less expensive than an outside preparer. I've manually entered some data because I didn't find it easy to solve the reason why I could not quickly link to an outside financial institution for importing statements so just manually entered instead. Also appreciate additional security feature has been added to prevent fraudulent e-filing.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate, Quick links to IRS publications, Imports previous year's data
What's not so great: Haven't linked to automatic data import from financial institutions

its no fun if you are using a different computer or have upgraded to windows 8 or more
What's great about it: simple to install and download
What's not so great: problems geting Win 8 .1 to actuallyprint after saving to pdf

Refund Great

Been using TurboTax for many years for my and my daughter's returns. In the past, I have always used the Deluxe version, but, last year because of her part time business with occasional music gigs, I had to upgrade to Premier at additional cost. This year, you claimed that you had restored Deluxe to its former capability. However, keeping musical instruments in playing order requires more than $100 per year, so to get the depreciation schedule and repair deductions, I was forced to go all the way up to the Business version - so your claim was a lie. Her primary job is a full time school teacher!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had to update from TurboTax Deluxe to Business

I have been using TurboTax for years and swear it's the biggest time saver. It makes the process simple, has context to answer all your questions and is just a smooth process especially if you, yourself are organized before you start the program!
What's great about it: This takes all the headaches out of filing a return and saves many, many hours in the process
What's not so great: Can't think of any
Pros: I bought or sold investments
