I've never done my own taxes since I started my own business. This was a pretty easy way to do them and way cheaper than taking all my stuff to a tax prep place. I'll certainly give it another try next year as well and now I'll have an idea what to expect.
What's great about it: Liked the way I was walked through the process in plain english, and the way I could get more info about any subject.
What's not so great: Couldn't figure out where to put my business expenses

I like TurboTax, but I would like the state e-file to be included in the purchase price.
What's great about it: Helps me with rules and deductions that I did not know
What's not so great: State e-file is not free

I have been using Turbo Tax for twenty years.
What's great about it: Very easy to use for simple to medium difficulty returns

DO NOT LOSE YOUR PASSWORD!! Trying to change your password took 4-5 times, then refused to take my credit card 3 times; it wasn't me!!! You had on file drivers licenses, dates of bierth, SS numbers---wwhat else did you need?? I had last year's income correct----I realize you have to guard against the small percent who are fraudulent, but us who are OK?????

I used TT Home and Business for the first time, as I now have a home office. I liked all of the deduction calculators, all seemed to work well. I did not like that there was no sub-item navigation, so I had to run through each topic in full to update info after I got it together.
What's great about it: Deductions calculators
What's not so great: Need better sub-item navigation
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TT for many years and it's a fantastic product.
What's great about it: Efficiently pulls in information from last year. Can download key documents. Simplifies calculations.
What's not so great: Some navigation (e.g., updating) requires clicking through multiple forms to get to the update form.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Doesnt' Work on the Mac

Not a great experience - it took me more time to get the software for states then it took to do my taxes..still wont let me pay for the state fillings!
