I have to make my W-2 forms twice
Once for the W-2 Form itself
Again for the W-2 information required by TurboTax on the Form 1040
What's not so great: Unable to transfer Turbotax-produced W-2 forms to form 1040

This is my umpteenth year using Turbo Tax and I have from time to time had other members use this software as well. We have been very pleased with the ease and confidence with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Always consistent and easily explained
What's not so great: government changes which we can only follow
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to process

the program does not make it easy to go right to filing the state after filing the federal on line, you have to go back thru and choose file by mail then go thru the whole process for the state.
What's great about it: the ease at which it is to use the program
What's not so great: at end if filing online Fed and mailing in State

I've used TurboTax a few years, have used other commercial software, and one year had a professional do our taxes. With income from a primary job and two small businesses, turbotax Home and Business does everything I need easily. It walks you through step by step, and also lets you go back in and choose what to work on. And to run what-ifs...
The professional did not find anything that TurboTax did not find. I don't see any reason to pay a professional for relatively standard tax situations.
Overall I highly recommend it.
