GREAT JOB

Quicken and QuickBooks need to become easier and stronger customer service. Turbo Tax ... Great Job.
What's great about it: Easy to following and allow it to work for you.
What's not so great: Tax code has got to get simpler...to many questions.

Turbotax helped me understand my tax situation

After hand-writing the return for years, then recently trying two accountants, then interviewing two more, I wanted to get some control and understanding over my return again. Turbotax asked lots of questions and I could see where it was going. I tried different avenues and saw the refund effect immediately. Turbotax revealed deductions which had no benefit, allowing me to delete those entries, simplify the return, and reduce the audit probability. "What If" was quite revealing to play "What If". I copy-pasted the ___.tax2015 file with a different name, opened it, and played "pretend" to learn about different situations and their taxation.
What's great about it: Understand my tax return better. Try many avenues. Play "what if".
What's not so great: Turbotax takes some computer savvy. It is a program, after all.

Trust Filing

The program did not do what I needed for filing the 1041 or I don't understand how that part of the program works.
What's great about it: Easy import of trust 1099
What's not so great: Did not produce 1041

The tool is good, and it is going what is expected.
What's great about it: Helped get organized
What's not so great: doesn't change everything when entries are changed, which means error at the end.

Good program

Overall a very good program, just need to make it a little more user-friendly for folks that are not familiar with the system and how to go in and out of the return without having to go back over areas already visited.
What's great about it: Cover topics well.
What's not so great: Hard to get back to where I left off in a session.

I also have been having trouble getting my e-file to go thru due to Identity Theft, even though I have entered my IRS
