Even a Cave Man can do it with Turbo Tax!

Too Expensive

Way too expensive compared to past years. Very time consuming to enter details as well. This software was the best on the market in years past, but I plan to look for a new program next year that will take care of all my needs for one low price. Sorry I can't find any great thing about TurboTax except that I have used it in the past.
What's not so great: Expensive, time consuming
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT ON UNEMPLOYMENT ISSUES

IF A PERSON RE PAYS UNEMPLOYMENT BENEIFITS
THE TURBO TAX PROGRAM SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY CALULATE THE CALCULATION OR INSTRUCT THE USER HOW TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. CURRENTLY IS JUST ACCEPTS THE ANSWER AND DOES NOT HELP THE CLIENT USING THEIR SERVICES.
regarding this it at to be reentered as a separate transaction on the unemployment section as a NEGATIVE number so that it would show up on Schedule A and the 1040

Good Service

With the exception of one call to customer Service, the personnel are outstanding in assistance.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Still have to manually update multiple UE forms.

Federal is great, but state needs works

I have used TurboTax for years and while I've always found the Federal fairly clear, by the time I get to the state taxes, I get massively confused. Very little is navigated through for me. I am a sole-proprietor business owner with many deductions. Often the state taxes are very unclear how to handle certain deductions.
The other part I didn't find clear is how to handle additional health care expenses outside of my Healthcare.gov premiums.
What's great about it: Federal is easy to navigate
What's not so great: State is not nearly as clear and leaves you guessing. Healthcare.gov coverage needs clarity.
