Best Software Ever!!!

I have been using TurboTax for 8 years. Wouldn't use anything else. Easy to use, guides you step by step.
What's great about it: Guides you step by step, no need to be a professional.
What's not so great: Can't think of anything

SIMPLE PROCESS

I used the 2016 TurboTax Home & Business software. I completed my daughters federal and state taxes with ease. No hiccup or freezes with the software. Completed it in less than a hour. I will use to do my taxes next
What's great about it: STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS VERY SIMPLE
What's not so great: FEE FOR FILE RETURN

Great for our family

For our small business we run, we do the same things each year so after a few years it is easy to enter information and with any new tax laws we can find easy answers and file very quickly.
What's great about it: Easy to do
What's not so great: None really

Not user-friendly

It was difficult to get back to the correct section to review or edit an entry (e.g., self-employed health insurance is in "Other expenses" category, no way to reach it by searching within, had to go to TurboTax forum to get the answer. Just one of many such time-wasters).
Encouraged us to contribute to IRA to get $ XXX tax reduction without taking into account that, given our MAGI, we'd end up with a partial deduction. Had to go back and redo the whole thing.
TurboTax of 15 years ago was truly user-friendly, I remember.
What's great about it: Convenient if you have been using TurboTax for years.
What's not so great: Confusing

Where is 1041 capability?!!

Upgraded to Business in order to complete 1041 for Trusts. Despite checking box to indicate need for 1041 for Trust, in general info section, only gave options to complete W-2 or 1099-MISC forms.
Absolutely worst user interface to proceed to primary user need even if it does exists and I failed to find it. After 10 years as dedicated TT user ready to try competitor products.

If you can read, follow directions and answer questions, you can do your own taxes. Turbo tax makes it so easy.

What's not so great: SINCE TURBO TAX CARRYOVER INFORMATION FROM YEAR TO YEAR IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALCULATE HOW TO ENTER INFORMATION

Seemed a bit ezier this year, flew through ?'s

I've been self-employed more than ten years now and have almost always done my own taxes, I guess I don't mind numbers as long as they are not red...
What's great about it: Imports right out of Quick books seemlessly
What's not so great: There are some things I still have to manualy imput so I don't miss a deduction.
