Consistently great, year after year!!

I've done taxes for myself, family members, and close friends for twenty years now and for most of those I used Turbo Tax. If a person can read and follow directions, he/she can do his/her taxes with TurboTax. As a financial services professional, it might be a bit easier for me, but I believe an auto mechanic or a painter can do easily do his/her taxes with this software!!
What's great about it: Gets easier every year; fast, smooth, and doable.
What's not so great: on a rare occassion there is a navigation amiguity, but very rare.

Home and guest sweet

My home is 3600 sq ft, I rent out one half 1800 sq ft. My half was built in 1926 and the rental half was built in 1990. The only utility is electric (heat, hotwater, cooking), I needed to split some things 50/50 like painting the whole structure, other thing need to be exact amount (supplies, electric, repairs), I needed to double the amounts on exact amount things to make them come out correct.
Plus the rental is way more efficent then the old part.

What's great about it: This program cut my filing time quit a bit.
What's not so great: Percentage of home for a rental doesn't work for me

Turbo Tax works great, have been using it for several years now, Your support people are your greatest asset they keep me coming back.
What's great about it: your tech support people are outstanding
What's not so great: your automated phone system and call back system dose not work, to many issues
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy with one issue

The Turbo tax tool brings over a slightly wrong number for amounts submitted with previous years state tax return and then doubles that number for inclusion on the itemized deduction form A. Has happened in years past as well--very frustrating as it requires me to catch the error, understand it and then find the right number to correct it always leaving a bit of doubt in my mind that I am wrong either way. PLEASE FIX THIS

What's not so great: State taxes paid with last years return carried over wrong

Very easy to follow and answer the questions. Particularly like the use of downloading bank and broker information. and charities.
