What's great about it: walks you through everything step by step
What's not so great: Been using TT for over 5 years and this year I was not able to transfer prior tax year into TT. Time consuming.

Love it . . . but 1099-misc process really stinks!

I've been doing my taxes electronically since 1988 and it is always a pleasure and relief to finish early and have a chance to review and double check! But the last two years have been shear torture . . . not on the return itself, but with creating 1099-misc. The actual instructions and program entry point were nigh on to impossible to find, which cost us hours of searching. Even when we thought we had the correct instructions for starting the process, they were either for a different year or product! When a business expense meets the qualifications, a 1099-misc should be generated or at least ask if it should be generated, automatically. Having said all that, I will still buy Turbo Tax every year!
What's great about it: Love having my taxes completed with confidence!
What's not so great: Sending a 1099-misc is the most cosmic process ever!

I really like turbo tax, I have used it for the past 4 years I file when I am ready no appointment necessary.
What's great about it: Very thorough captured expenses I would have missed.
What's not so great: No issues

Worked well for married filing jointly for the last 6 years. Will continue to use until.
What's great about it: Able to work in home without transporting all paperwork to other tax preparer.
What's not so great: Sometimes awkward navigating back and forth between pages.

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now and and like the ease of using it. I feel sure that everything has been covered and my return is accurate.
