Very easy to use and if I needed help it led me to numbers where I could get my questions answered. Have been using Turbo Tax for at least 8 years

Great Product

If you are like me you don't want to spend hours reading all of the tax info needed to file your return. Turbotax does it all for you. It asks for pertinent info, provides explanations and tips, you enter your information, and Turbotax does the rest. I feel comfortable that tax return results are accurate and maximize my returns based on the information I provided.
What's great about it: Easy to use; great time saver; maximizes returns
What's not so great: none for me

This still leaves me with worries about my tax returns. Also, there are so many extra fees that are added to the mix that I am hoping that I don't go broke paying for them. I didn't ask to be forced to file in two states and do separate paperwork for each. This is not turbo tax fault but it's ridiculous that the two states can't seem to get along.
What's great about it: It was easier than I thought it was going to be.
What's not so great: Am a little bit worried about whether the correct forms for the health care portion are being sent with my tax forms.

Good Deal

What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Had trouble finding exact date refund was to be received.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Software

Got an error message because bank Int form had zeros in places. When I removed the zeroes it worked fine. Telephone support was great.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Great phone support.
What's not so great: State return software had a defect.

TurboTax during changeover year

This year (2015) was a changeover year from Personal & Business to just Personal taxes. I purchased the P & B package but really needed only the Personal one. On State taxes (MA) the program has difficulty. In MA if you have a retirement pension from the State, and you live in the state, it is not taxed on the state return. The program does not seem to know this. Also in MA you may not deduct your vehicle registration fee but you may deduct your vehicle excise tax. This should be noted on a MA return form. One other thing. I also prepare a tax return for a Trust. This can only be done on a "business" TurboTax pkg, and only with Microsoft and NOT an Apple Computer. Please make a TurboTax pkg for a Trust return for a Mac.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: Some situations not clear
