Continued great

I have been using Turbo Tax since the mid 1980s and it continues to meet and exceed my expectations. Even as I venture into rental real estate it is superb.
What's great about it: Improves each year
What's not so great: makes even somewhat complicated taxes easy

Love Turbo Tax!

I've been using TurboTax (TT) for the past 10 years and LOVE IT. I appreciate the hands-on opportunity to enter my information and immediately see the impact it is having on my taxes. The first treat is that TT uploaded my contact information and tax payment from the previous year's return. What a time saver. Then, it led me step by step through each area of my personal and private practice tax areas. I LOVE that, after correcting (minor) errors, TT rated my audit risk. Had my audit risk been high, I would have gladly forgone certain deductions. I don't want the time-suck or stress of an audit. All of this was for my federal return. My state return took about 10 minutes to complete.
What's great about it: Everything I Need for Personal and Small Business Return
What's not so great: Hard to find where to correct an entry error found by TurboTax

Laura was my tax expert she has gone well and beyond any customer service I have ever imaged I pride myself as an ex business owners ( 3 businesses in my past ) what ever your paying her it is not nearly enough Thank You Turbo tax and especially Laura

Helps me get it done

Helps me get it done. Have CA LLC, Canadian income, retirement income plus regular stuff; TT makes it all palatable.
Would be nice to have math. available in override sheets.
Only problem is when filling out CA 568, TT does not prompt whether it is a final or non-final 568 return, so CA then bugs me about it years later.
What's great about it: Most forms; good help; easystep useful
What's not so great: Some incomplete (e.g., CA single member LLC)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Needs to be more accessible for past years returns

I had started a refund and had to push an extension when I tried to go back to my online version that I had already started it was no longer available.
What's great about it: Printed out vouchers and gave addresses
What's not so great: Their online service does not exceed to past years like other software

Excellent Tool to file your taxes

I used Turbotax to file for old filing that my accountant fail to prepare for God only knows what reason.
I contacted customer service and request a call. Got a call in less than 5 min.
The CSR was very friendly and explain the process to start in a very friendly and easy to understand way.
My taxes are up to speed now.

Overall, Turbo Tax is "OUTSTANDING !!!"
What's great about it: Turbo Tax goes a long way making "self-sufficiency" a real thing !
What's not so great: Difficulty printing 2015 returns to file with the state.

Must have not been right!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have always been happy. But something went wrong with our 2014 taxes. TurboTax told us we owed money, yet the US government sent us back a check for $5000.
So obviously Turbo Tax was WAY off.
What's great about it: It walked us through every subject
What's not so great: After PAYING $4800 we were refunded $5000 so it must have been wrong
