I had a little trouble with the federal forms regarding use of business vehicle. Otherwise great but unavoidably time consuming.

Great as usual except kept hanging up in the health insurance module (tax huh?).

When It's Good,It's Very Good

I used TurboTax Home and Business this year. Like other TurboTax products I've used, it's usually very good. The program is clear and guides you through income and deductions in a straightforward way. It also provides many links to additional information, which is usually concise and helpful in answering questions. It instantly performs calculations that take a lot of time when performed manually.
The biggest problem I had this year was that the program frequently froze, while displaying the word "Calculating." In some cases, it eventually moved on to the next page, but other times, after fifteen minutes of waiting, I used Task Manager to end the program. Fortunately, the program saved my return, so I didn't lose any information.
I should add that I was using a 7 year old laptop running Windows 7, which I had used with TurboTax in the past without experiencing this problem. But my laptop is reaching the end of its useful life and may have been at least partly to blame.
What's great about it: Clear, Straightforward, With Links to Helpful Information
What's not so great: Program frequently froze

Who needs to pay a tax service!

I've been using TurboTax for 11 years, and it is great. The software has always gotten more user friendly. You input the info it is asking for, and it does all the behind-the-scenes calculations & worksheets. Your refund total updates in real-time as you provide data. There are links everywhere to provide helpful info, and when you click them a separate small window opens within the program to provide the info. You are not taken away from the page you are on or taken to a separate webpage. You can bookmark any screen with your unique label & note to come back to later.
If it's your first time, the software will take you through every detail. If you've used TurboTax several times before, you can browse for just the sections you know you need. It even shows you if you went to a section the previous year to help remind you which ones you need. Also if you've used it the previous year, it imports all your personal info into the new version so you don't have to re-enter everything.
This software actually makes doing your taxes fun. You won't regret using it.

What's great about it: you guys explained everything in simple detail which made filing understandable, efficient and fast.
What's not so great: honestly i liked it all

If you have a high income with a business this is the best. TurboTax puts all the information in all the right forms. easy as pie.
What's great about it: did all the math on many sheets
What's not so great: no negative response
