realistically painless tax preparation

Painless tax preparation for average folks. Going through it step by step makes it easy and logical. Most issues are well explained.
Only minor complaint is that I made an error on one of my 1099 form entries and it wasn't obvious where in the program I needed to go to get back to it. The online help finally worked for me but for some reason it took a long time to load in order to get me the answer I needed.
What's great about it: if you can read directions you can do your taxes
What's not so great: navigation tricky if not going in order
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

So easy to use, definite follow the bouncing ball. I've used TurboTax for years now and will continue to for years to come. Used H&R Block once and they didn't save me any more money and it cost a fortune!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: There are cons??

Turbo tax is really quite easy to use. Being self-employed, it has made my filing taxes not such a stressful and overwhelming task.

Tax confidence builder

I rate this software very high and I am a long term user.I feel confident when i submit it that it doesn't have errors
What's great about it: leads you step by step, checks for errors, optional audit support
What's not so great: difficult to return a specific entry, e.g.. social security, can't print a page where you just entered data
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The list of charitable organizations I contribute to should be listed in alphabetical order, not the order I enter them. This change would make it easier to review to insure I have included all of them.
What's great about it: Turbox Tax guides me through each step without a hassle
What's not so great: Charities listed as entered

I have always used Turbo Tax and probably always will but in some areas you have to answer all questions about the section before you can change 1 item you want.
