Great tax system

Turbo Tax always works great, last year they had some flaws because of some changes they made, but they restored it back to working great. I am happy they listen to the people. They even sent an email addressing the issues and said they would fix it, and they did. I have used turbo tax for so many years I have stop counting. Great product!!

Easy except...

I have been using TurboTax since it first came out. In general, this year was as easy to use as ever with the exception of the section for reporting sales of Restricted Stock. The program tried to combine it with reporting sales of stock options which made the prompts incorrect and you had to understand what you were doing to get halfway there. The grant date and grant price have no relevance with restricted stock awards, yet you asked for that information. A restricted stock award has no value until it vests and it makes no difference when it was granted since it doesn't exist until it vest. You really need to fix this for next year since I understand this more than 80% of the people in the general population.
What's great about it: Easy to use in general
What's not so great: This year's program for reporting Restricted Stock sales is a pain

MY 11th YEAR USING TURBO TAX AND NEVER A HITCH

I'm very pleased with the product, especially after buying my first home. Which turned into rental property, when I was re-stationed and bought a second home, it was a very smooth transition.
What's great about it: BREAKS IT DOWN, MAKES IT EASY TO FOLLOW
What's not so great: CORRECTIONS CAN BE DIFFICULT AFTER REVIEW

Been Loving Turbo tax since 1999

My friend and I have been using Turbo Tax since 1999 and we've loved every bit of it and to top it off the software gets improved every year. We started using the basic edition and now we are using the home and business to include our small business expenses and rental revenue. Wes till love every bit of Turbo Tax.

Using Turbo Tax makes us very confident that everything is done correctly and according to law.
Turbo Tax is so easy to use, we would not really ever consider any other option for preparing and filing our taxes!!

What's great about it: Navigating the user interface and great help menus
What's not so great: Payment menu for state taxes got stuck, had to repeat 3-4 times then it worked

Quite Good

This is probably at least the tenth year I've used TurboTax. Generally it is terrific - especially the transfer of information from year to year and the download of data from financial institutions. These things are worth the price alone. I have found errors on occasion and reported these to Intuit. There are also very frustrating instances where some item causes a hangup and it simply can't be made to go away. I have had unwanted forms like K-1 show up that I couldn't easily unload.
What's great about it: Download financial data feature
What's not so great: Gets hung up on certain items and won't let go
