I have used Turbo Tax for years and have never had the problems I have had this year. VERY disappointed!

First time user (Home & Business version)

This year was the first time I have had to file my own tax return in over 20 years. Have always used a professional tax preparer in the past and found TurboTax very easy to use. There was no stress in using this program as everything was explained in simple detail and when I made a mistake it was very easy to correct. I would recommend TurboTax to anyone who is thinking about preparing their own taxes.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate through the entire process.
What's not so great: Only hit two or three problems that were very easy to correct

Been using turbotax for 10+ years and this version is the worst. I doubt I'll buy it next year. Lags out after ever calculations, took over 4 hours to complete a return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Relaxed tax reporting

I am a mathematician and before Turbotax appeared, from 1968 I always did my own reporting through connected data sheets so I know how Turbotax works.
It does it well and seamlessly especially now when I live abroad but earn in the USA while my wife (in a joint return) earns in a company abroad.
I am sure that we pay as small a tax to which we are entitled and I have assurance that everything, even with a small personal company, is full legal.

What's great about it: Remembering items I would have forgotten
What's not so great: Having to keep all versions of TurboTax

First experience with the Home & Business version - very easy to use. Possible improvements include more obvious short cuts on some of the endless question loops when you are an experienced user. I particularly like the FORMs section so I can see what the return looks like if I had prepared it on paper.

Refund Queen

Yes, I am the refund queen! Filed all of my families returns and was able to get them all refunds. I have and always will prepare my returns by the book. I don't believe in making things better or trying to get more money back if it's not earned and deserved. Turbotax makes filing returns so easy. It's very orderly and simple to use. I does help however, that I am accountant but think anyone could use this program. It is "right on" at all times.

Excellent Tax Preparation

Preparation of difficult tax laws is made much more simple with the use of this program. I wouldn't think of using anything else. this is I think the 14th year I have used Turbo-tax and it gets easier each time I use it even thought my tax situation gets more and more complex. Thank you Turbo=tax.

2015 Turbo Tax Review

used turbo for over 10 years and will continue to use for easy individual returns more difficulculty with complex isses such as trusts or company taxes
What's great about it: easy to follow, general tax advice, printing and filing ease
What's not so great: not enoughm info on tax consequences regarding trusts, difficult with extensions
