Professional, Quick, and Easy

I have been using this for the past 7 years, and things have improved much. I completed my taxes in less than 2 days. The integration with QuickBooks makes tax preparation very easy. It is TurboTax for all my taxes.
What's great about it: Integration with QuickBooks

First time filing for a C-corp. Complicated by figuring out how to file start-up expenses and ultimately determining best to file closing the biz. Had some trouble getting call-back but when I did the tax expert was helpful in walking me through the options. Gave some good pointers and options to consider. Still, once I chose an option and was back in the forms, it was confusing. Probably re-did/re-worked and just went back and forth 10+ times. Still, proud to have finally figured it all out.
What's great about it: Asks Qs to point you along.
What's not so great: Kept going in circles to figure out what I needed to put where.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

It would be so much easier if they didn't keep moving the boxes around. It just takes a little longer to find what I am looking for.
What's great about it: The Printout
What's not so great: The Boxse keep getting moved around

Turbo Tax Business

Overall great product that I've been using now for nearly 12 years straight. Will continue to use Turbo Tax as the years progress until such time that the US Economy collapses or the US Government does away with the IRS/income taxes!
What's great about it: Loads last year's taxes in a jiff
What's not so great: Requires some knowledge of tax returns - not for the layperson
Pros: I bought or sold investments

If this software could provide just a bit better contextual help and explanations of what to expect in coming steps for non- tax professionals, it would be perfect!

QB - turbo tax issues

They need to work on how the items are categorized in QB compared to Turbo tax. They have a lot if items that import incorrectly because QB calls it one thing but Turbo tax see it as something else. Are they not both made by the same people??
