I had no problems except with creating a signature page to efile. There could be more specific steps to create that document.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: singature page for efile was a little confusing

1. If it is not necessary to complete a NC annual report to the SOS, CD-479, as the instructions tell me, it should let me know that: 1. It is still necessary to send in a signed form which will be printed out incomplete. 2. It is or isn't necessary to have the officer information completed.
2. I had spent hours trying to figure out how to get QuickBooks information imported into TurboTax and had not realized after going through all the trouble of installing a desktop version of QuickBooks that somehow my data was still incompatible for TurboTax to import. It would be great if there was a detailed instruction of how to prepare QuickBooks data for a successful import.
Thanks for your interest and attention.
What's great about it: software efficient
What's not so great: incomplete instructions

Nice Comparison to TurboTax Personal

This was my first business return and with no revenue, I was going back and forth over whether to use TurboTax or use a CPA.
I chose TurboTax - and now that I see the final product, I'm glad I did.
PS - for those used to the personal TurboTax version for Individuals, this has the same style but isn't 100% as prescriptive - a couple of state specific steps I was stuck on and needed to do some extra research (help button), but perhaps that's because it was my first experience with filing for business.
If everything turns out fine - I know what to do next year!
What's great about it: Step by step guidance
What's not so great: Not quite the same as version for Individuals

TurboTax Business - a Godsend for small preparers
on February 26, 2016

I have been using TurboTax for Business every year since its beginning for 15 partnerships, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and trusts. Being able to use one program for all types of business entities is cost effective, but it is expensive if one needs to do only one return. It handles quickly and correctly the common tax situations like W-2s, 1099s, and K-1s. It handles 1099-Bs well, but I believe one cannot import the information directly from one's brokerage account like you can in TurboTax for Individuals. Some of the more esoteric tax situations are difficult to find in the interview, but one can work directly on the forms (if one knows how). I highly recommend it for the experienced user.
What's great about it: Can be used for all types of business entities; handles well W-2s, 1099s and K-1s
What's not so great: Individual state modules are expensive; some forms are difficult to find in the interview

During review it would help to say why a particular item is selected.
During filling in phase, sometimes it is hard to understand where a number came from. I found this irksome on the balance sheet
What's great about it: Guided through the process well
What's not so great: Reviews unclear
