great processing of NYS S corporation state return

This review is for the New York state return for my S corporation--having previously filed the federal return. My corporation is incorporated in NY even though I live in WA state--hence I file a NY state return for my corporation. My impression is that the New York state portion of the process was a bit easier and more streamlined in years past. Also the forms seemed to be ready to actually file with the NY State authorities a bit earlier in the tax season--last year it was not until early March that these were ready but it was better this year. Congratulations to both TurboTax and NY state for the improved experience this year!
What's great about it: very efficient
What's not so great: can't really think of any

It can do more than 1 tax return, it can work for me, my husband and my mom company tax return, we can save a lot of money.

General Partnership

Still not complete. Did not accurately transfer total assets of partnership from 2014 return. Resulted in bogus figures I had to override. Total partnership loss did not match the simple math of subtracting expenses from income. To avoid waste attempting to print only the pages I really needed was most difficult and at this time I still have not been able to print all the necessary pages for filing.
What's great about it: Easy to enter data
What's not so great: Very difficult to print for filing by mail.

What There Is Is Great

Turbo Tax Business is is required to file Form 1041 for my trust, and it works very well. But I also am required to file NC Form D-407 and D-407TC for the same trust. What a nightmare! NC's arcane instructions require understanding a lot of tax terminology and state rules, not just collecting data to plug into forms. I have finally resorted to developing my own spreadsheet to calculate the form values to avoid having to re-figure out what's going on each year. I would think it would be fairly easy for TT Business to support NC trust filing, especially for the hefty price paid.
What's great about it: Preparing Fed Form 1041 for Trust is a breeze.
What's not so great: North Carolina Form D-407 for Trusts not supported

What's not so great: PA state forms were'nt ready and purchased forms on liner with promise of delivery later. Had to purchase forms twice!
