S-Corp filing by accounting novice

First time through for me, and I learned a lot about improving my books and where I was wasting time and energy. Doing the Balance sheet as an educational exercise was very helpful--although I am not recommending that it be submitted if it is not required. Next year will be a snap.
What's great about it: Helpful spoon-feeding
What's not so great: Guidance around "Retained Earnings" should say why the QB RE figure does not match what TT reports-Or make them match!

One more instance of excellance!

There was a nice surprise included with the state portion. For several years, Virginia has required electronic filing for Sub S corporations. This has not been available from TurboTax Business. When I downloaded the state software, I was greeted with the words "includes Virginia Pass-thru-Entity" e-file. It ran without a hitch. Nice going TurboTax.
What's great about it: Just flat out easy to use. Asks all the right questions with explanations that clarify what is wanted.
What's not so great: No problems!!

Great for Small Business and Personal Returns

I've used Turbo Tax now for several years for both my personal return and my LLC. The programs are easy to use, saves me tons of money and are very thorough!
What's great about it: Easy to Use and much cheaper than have CPA prepare!

Turbo Tax Business 2015

Base site linkage takes you to wrong login screen for downloading and installing software. Very frustrating. 3 years in a row had to go through this problem. By the time I have it solved and begin the tax return, I am frustrated beyond measure. It shouldn't be so difficult.
What's great about it: Works well, checks books vs return for balance sheet, income, distributions and equity
What's not so great: Website frustrating to download purchased software. Must ignore login screen and know to click Turbotax and login there

GREAT PRODUCT.

I feel this is a great program to use. I haven't used it in quite a few years. My current wife preferred having a CPA that she's had for years do it. Then they retired and the next two we felt way overcharged and every year needed an extension. Not this year, we're getting it done ahead of time and for about 10% of what it cost to get an extension.:-))
What's great about it: Very helpful and intuitive.
What's not so great: At times hard to follow
