What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: no discount for returning customers (5 years)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use

Overall the product is sufficient and easy to use. Would recommend including at least one state form in the product price. Help tutorial is very good and inclusive of the questions I had.
What's great about it: Product itself is easy to use and guides you every step of the way. Only a few times did I have to consult help button.
What's not so great: Was not happy about the extra cost to do a state form. Understand extra cost to file, though thought it was a bit high.

This is my first time filing my taxes without having someone sit by my side or doing it for me and this was very easy, simple and straight forward. I plan on doing turbotax from now on instead of paying someone else to do what Turbo tax made self explanatory.
What's great about it: Very simple and straight to the point!
What's not so great: I wish Some of the forms i could not print could've been emailed to me

Last Time for Turbo Tax?

I had several 1099-R forms listed on my Federal Return for miscellaneous income. When I started on my state (PA) income tax after importing from my federal, the state form wanted to know more about MY business, listing the reasons for income from the 1099-R. There was no way I could prevent this (I do not have a business). I finally had to skip listing the 1099-R forms on my fed return and list income in another section. As a result, I redid my taxes manually, costing me hours I did not expect to spend while using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions
What's not so great: Importing state tax info from federal to tax return was inaccurate.

i did not like having to go back and fill out moms federal tax separately (after they could file jointly for their fed) in order to file moms state taxes, because my dad died in 2015. it was a lot of extra work separating their deductions.

Loving TurboTax for over 10 years

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years it is so easy because it imports everything from the year before. Not only does it help by saving time entering the basic info but you can compare previous years deductions and incomes with this years numbers.
What's great about it: import last years numbers, basic info, import my emplorers' w-2 info, auto fill in state return
What's not so great: better explinations of tax forms
