Was a breeze

Had the basic version, but was still able to do a Sch C (home business), gas royalties and dividends and interest with no problem. Handled depreciation and amortization without a problem. Walks through itemized deductions, child credits...all...
What's great about it: Easy to navigate through. Prompts for what is needed and has links to explain/define fields.
What's not so great: None to think of...

I am glad you brought back your policy, about using the basic version for all the schedules. As long as you do not change this policy, I am going to continue using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Complete solution

SO EASY ITS GOOD

This was my first experience doing my own taxes, and I must say I expected it to be way harder than this. I like how it was a step by step process and mainly copy and paste the info and your bio info. I feel if you can make your own email account you can do your own taxes with TurboTax.
What's great about it: I like the step by step process
What's not so great: have more picture examples of W-2s's
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to Use - At a Price
on January 20, 2016

While product is well designed and easy to use, it is difficult to compare the Online vs. Software options with a clear understanding of final costs.
What's great about it: Presents deductions and credits in an easy-to-understand way
What's not so great: Hidden fees, difficult to compare costs across products
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Less Satisfied with TurboTax this year
on February 28, 2016

I could not think of any good things I liked especially. I found it difficult to know whether I would have to click a bubble for no or none or press a yes/or no button to continue. Printing was difficult. The forms had to be saved & then printed in Adobe. I was running around in saving the .pdf file then being asked if I wanted to print or save the .pdf file. Got confusing, i was asked if I wanted to do the state part & I said NO...because doesn't require state taxes. I got to a point I was told to pick a state & Tx was NOT on the list with a note at the bottom of the list that several other states did not require state taxes & there was no way to get off the page and no Back button. i ended up having to close the page by pressing the X in the upper right corner,
Turbo Tax has become less intuitive over the years. I tried using the free version on-line but the income/deductions part was not complete and was not figuring the tax correctly I bought the basic version and everything seemed complete. Will I buy it again? Right now, I would say NO...but next year..that's 11 months away - I might say YES then
What's not so great: Lack of consistency of data entry - yes/no buttons bubbles. cannot print from TurboTax
